In 2021, during its 5th campaign, D-Rating noted 98 European banks, with four of them sharing the best grade (A-) : KBC Bank & Verzekering in Belgium, BBVA in Spain, Boursorama and Hello bank!
In 2022, D-Rating plans to cover new fields of digital performance in its list of 800 indicators, suc h as ESG, crypto and beyond banking (aka « super-apps »).
It also plans to reinforce its coverage of certain regions, such as Scandinavia (15 banks will be noted in this area : Bank Norwegian, Danske Bank, DNB, Gimi, Handelsbanken, Icabanken, Insta Bank, Jyske Bank, Komplett Bank, Lunar, Nordea, OP Financial, Skandiabanken, SEB, Swedbank, Sydbank), and will include for the first time Irish banks (Allied Irish Bank, Bank of Ireland, EBS).
More broadly speaking, and in addition to the needs expressed by its subscribers, four criteria led to modify its panel : – The market share and the commercial and economic dynamics observed in the country studied. – The digital performance observed during previous campaigns and the resulting rating, – Among the neo-banks, those that appear to be the most developed on the European market and/or that remain among the most innovative. – New players (banks, payment accounts) that are growing rapidly or that position themselves on a specific theme (ESG, Cryptos, super-apps…). The tests of mobile applications and authenticated web spaces will start in September 2022 for first results in November, and a more global rating to be decided in the first weeks of 2023.
